IPL Hair Removal works by targeting the hair follicle with light energy, helping reduce future hair growth over a series of treatments.

SHR stands for Super Hair Reduction and is a form of IPL designed to gradually heat the targeted area rather than relying on one intense pulse at a time.
This allows the treatment to be performed more quickly and comfortably, particularly across larger areas such as the legs, back, chest or arms.
BDJ uses SHR technology as part of its IPL Hair Removal service, giving clients a more manageable option for working through a full treatment course.

IPL can be used across many areas of the face and body.
Popular treatment areas at BDJ include the upper lip, chin, sides of the face, underarms, arms, chest, stomach, back, bikini area, Brazilian and legs.
You can focus on a single small area or combine multiple areas depending on what you want to treat.
Your therapist can also advise whether your hair colour, skin tone and chosen treatment area are suitable for IPL before you begin.
Hair grows in cycles, so one session won’t catch it all
IPL works most effectively when hairs are in the active growth stage, and not every hair reaches that stage at the same time.
That is why a course of treatments is usually required rather than a single appointment.
BDJ currently recommends approximately 6–8 treatments for optimal hair reduction, followed by occasional maintenance treatments where needed.
The exact number of sessions will vary depending on the area being treated, your hair growth cycle and how your body responds to treatment.

Had a lovely consultation with Lurnae. We went over all my skin concerns and discussed health concerns that could be contributing to my skins condition. From there we did a cleanse and mask where I got to trial some of the products they recommended. They worked with my budget when offering services and products. They also wrote down all the information and recommendations which is really helpful for remembering!
