Balayage uses a freehand colouring technique to create softer transitions between your natural colour and lighter sections.
The result is usually more blended and lived-in than traditional foils, with less obvious regrowth as your hair grows.
It’s a great option if you want colour that still looks polished without feeling like you need to be back in the salon every few weeks.
Balayage can be incredibly subtle or much more dramatic depending on your starting colour and the result you want.
We can create soft face-framing brightness, a sun-kissed brunette, a dimensional blonde or something significantly lighter, but the process always starts with what your hair can safely handle.
For bigger transformations, we may recommend building the colour gradually over multiple appointments to protect the condition of your hair.
Good balayage is not just about making sections lighter.
We consider your haircut, natural colour, skin tone, face shape and where you want the brightness to sit before deciding how the colour should be placed.
That might mean more lightness around the face, softer dimension through the ends or keeping the root deeper for a more natural grow-out.
The goal is colour that feels designed for you rather than copied from someone else’s photo.
One of the biggest benefits of balayage is that it can be relatively low maintenance compared with more uniform blonde services.
You may still need toners, glosses or occasional face-framing refreshes between larger appointments to keep the colour looking fresh and the tone where you want it.
We’ll also recommend the right home-care routine to help maintain shine, condition and colour between visits.

Had a lovely consultation with Lurnae. We went over all my skin concerns and discussed health concerns that could be contributing to my skins condition. From there we did a cleanse and mask where I got to trial some of the products they recommended. They worked with my budget when offering services and products. They also wrote down all the information and recommendations which is really helpful for remembering!
